If George W. Bush read the Boston Globe on October 11, he was probably very taken aback to learn, in a piece by Bryan Bender, that the U.S. "shock and awe" campaign was exactly what Hussein wanted, and that the rapid overpowering of Iraqi forces was part of a deliberate plan on Hussein's part to lure the U.S. into the guerrilla insurgency we are embroiled in now.
