WHY ARE DEMOCRATS voting for the bankruptcy bill? Kos at Daily Kos says, follow the money. Atrios says fine, but the Dems now will not be able to use the legislation as an issue in the 2006 congressional elections, and that will cost them seats. Politics may be the art of compromise, but, Atrios says, "Until the party begins to take disciplined stands against these things, they don't stand for anything."

I agree with him.
