It's Roberts

The New York Times put up a News Alert (no linked story yet) that Bush has nominated John Roberts for Chief Justice. The Washington Post predicted this in an earlier edition.

I wonder how Scalia and Thomas feel about this. They were both being speculated on as possibilities for the top spot on the Court. Roberts must feel like he won the lottery.
