In bombing Hezbollah's headquarters here, Israel has turned the entire area into a wasteland with no signs of life. 500,000 civilians once lived in these suburbs. Israel had warned them to get out but no one seems to know if they were able to escape before the bombings started.

Editor & Publisher reports Ann Coulter's dismay that Israel has only managed to kill 300-plus civilians and displace half a million. Those 500,000 Lebanese refugees, by the way, represent almost 20 percent of Lebanon's population.
