"The President Is Always Right"

That's what Steven Bradbury, head of the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel, told Patrick Leahy at Senate Judiciary Committee hearings today. Think Progress has the video and the complete transcript.

If you're not convinced the President is always right, and you're wondering if there are better uses for $8 billion a month than the war against Iraq, go here.

If Jane Hamsher finds someone to explain this to her, maybe she can explain it to me.

When is a 14-year-old girl a woman? When she lives in Iraq.

Via Cursor.org, I found an interesting new blog.

Get out a piece of paper and write each sentence 100 times: This is humane treatment. This is not torture. This is legal under the Geneva Conventions.
