Christianists Use Public Money To Make Video About Their Proselytizing in Congress and the Pentagon

I can't even begin to express how much this video at Crooks & Liars scares me. My tax dollars, and everyone else's, are being used to promote one specific religion -- and more than that, one particular very totalitarian segment of that religion. I do not want my money going to a fundamentalist Christian religious group with the avowed mission of spreading "the word of Jesus Christ" to everyone in Congress, in the Pentagon, and in the world. Is acceptance of Christianity and attendance at prayer meetings now going to be the litmus test for advancement, or even employment, in Washington, as membership in the Baath Party was the litmus test for a decent job in Saddam's Iraq, especially in government?

The video is almost 12 minutes long, and absolutely worth watching in full. It's very disturbing that this is going on in America.

By the way, John got the video from Lambert at Corrente, who got it from the Christian Embassy website. Lambert says the video was subsequently delinked from the site, but it's still there. I didn't find a link to it, but if you type "video" in the site's Search box, it comes up.
