Good golly, Miss Molly: A Real, Live Journalist!

Even Dana Perino can't make sense of Dick Cheney's claim that he is not part of the Executive Branch. And Dana Milbank reminds us that in 2001, Cheney objected to a congressional probe of his energy task force on the grounds that it " 'would unconstitutionally interfere with the functioning of the executive branch.' " Conclusion: "Cheney has, in effect, declared himself to be neither fish nor fowl but an exotic, extraconstitutional beast who answers to no one."

Down With Tyranny! is taken aback by Richard Lugar's sudden interest in non-military solutions to conflict, given his voting record: "... Cheney could have cast these votes without so much as a grimace."

Sally Quinn tells us, "The big question right now among Republicans is how to remove Vice President Cheney from office." Problem: No one in the blogosphere, left, right, or center, is buying it.

Sally's right about one thing, though. Dick Cheney's heart does run on batteries.
