Cut To the Ad

A Republican Congress critter who does not know the name or age of the last soldier in her district to die in Iraq (Jeremy Bohannon, 18 years old), but knows every detail about MoveOn's General BetrayUs ad and can talk animatedly for minutes at a clip about the ad, but stumbles all over her own tongue when trying to say something coherent about Jeremy Bohannon, who was killed at the borderline of his childhood by the war that the general who betrayed us packaged up all pretty and shiny for his boss, the president.

"When was the last time a New York Times ad ever killed somebody?"

Beautifully, succinctly stated. What was the old childhood rhyme? "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." Unless you're a scared little republican who doesn't want to hear what we the people really think.

You nailed it.
