Rebate Checks

The I.R.S. is going to issue the rebate checks so says the NY Times. I hadn't thought of the extra strain processing all the outgoing checks when we are in the middle of the tax return season.

And then again, how is the gov't supposed to know who is married and how many kids they have and how much money s/he made in 2007.
