The Los Angeles Times reported today that the U.S. military has acknowledged that U.S. helicopters fired into a crowd of civilians in Baghdad, killing at least 16 Iraqis. There's more to be said about this, but I don't have the will or the energy right now. It's Erev Rosh Hashanah and I'm supposed to be thinking about the changes I want to make in my life, and celebrating the new year, 5765. Jewish tradition says that Rosh Hashanah is the day the world was created. Happy birthday, world.
