Since Bush invaded Iraq in March 2003, 24 U.S. soldiers have committed suicide, as reported in an Army report published in March 2004.
James Curtis Coons, a 36-year-old soldier from Texas with a wife and two children, is one of them. Last July he hanged himself with a bedsheet in an outpatient facility on the grounds of Walter Reed Hospital. Before he ended his life, "He told doctors he was seeing the shattered face of a dead soldier in the mirror."
