I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION that there is a book about everything. At work I saw a book about the history of walking. Walking. And just now I ran across an article in the New York Times that mentioned a book called Crying: The Natural and Cultural History of Tears. Crying in public is a big no-no in our culture. Ask Edmund Muskie; he'll tell you. Or he would, if he were still alive. And don't cry at work. It's career suicide.
