Just Another $50 Billion

According to The Washington Post, President Bush is going to ask for supplemental funds in the order of $50 billion to fund the surge. That is 'off-budget' and makes the deficit seem less.

If the House of Representatives was doing their job, as the Constitution stipulates all appropriations bills must originate in the House, they would include that $50 Billion in the regular DOD appropriation. I mean the House would have to search far and wide for its' collective gonads in an attempt to stand up to the King President. But, why not try a new approach.
