Unsolicited Subscriptions
Received a plain white, business size envelope in the mail the other day, addressed to Mrs. Chief. Return address was a single line accross the top of the back of the envelope and her name and address showed through a oval hole in the lower right of the front of the envelope. Inside was an invoice to a popular automobile magazine that neither of us have ever subscribed to. The invoice appears to be from a third party company that probably purchased a mailing list from somewhere.
I wonder how many people get an envelope like this and send in a check for the requested amount of money, all the while saying to them selves, "I don't remember ordering this."
Must be lucrative or they wouldn't do it.
