On Saturday, November 13, a group of Marines entered a mosque where several Iraqis were lying against a wall, obviously dead or seriously injured. One of the Marines walked over to one of the Iraqis, who was unarmed, and shouting that he was only pretending to be dead, shot him in the head. Kevin Sites, a freelance journalist on assignment for NBC News, videotaped what happened, and the images were aired on several television news shows last night. Marine commanders are now investigating what seems to be an act of cold-blooded murder.
